Water Studies

Well the After Rothko got me off on a new and pleasant tangent. The Vermont Photographic Workplace has a call for entries for an upcoming show entitled "Water". Here is information about the Workplace taken from their website: The mission of the Vermont Photography Workplace is to support contemporary photography as a means of creative expression and cultural insight.  VPW sponsors educational activities, including workshops, portfolio reviews, guest speakers, as well as exhibition opportunities through regional and national juried exhibits.  Our goal is to create an environment where photographers of all ages and abilities can explore and nurture their creative potential.

See our call for entries for our next photo exhibition: WATER

So it was a happy coincidence that After Rothko led me to Water, so to speak. I developed a series of five "Water Studies" using the techniques discovered while working on the Rothko photos. Every once in a while I shudder when I see how I have moved from being a hard core traditionalist, to anything goes. Developed for the VPW submission, here are the five Water Studies.
